Two words that mean wishing others a long and fulfilling life. Kia Orana does not simply mean welcome but also means wishing and desiring good fortune for your guests.
Who we are
Hello,
we are Serena and Marco (but there are also little Matteo and Giorgio) and we are very happy to welcome you to the web page of our Kia Orana.
You might be wondering why we chose such an exotic name, so we want to explain our choice: during our honeymoon in the Cook Islands, Kia Orana was the greeting that the Maori people of the island gave us at any time of day.
What we liked, however, is that its meaning goes beyond a simple good morning or good evening, but more deeply means wishing the other person a happy life full of prosperity.
That’s why we decided to make this motto our own and try to bring it into our philosophy of managing this place.
Kia Orana is in fact our little creation, as well as being our first home when, back in 2007, we decided to move in together.
Our fondest memories are tied to this house, since Matteo and Giorgio were both born and raised here.
This year we decided to open it up and make it available to all those tourists and visitors who are looking for a warm, welcoming, and "fully equipped" accommodation for their next stay in Livorno.
The apartment is just a few meters from the entrance to the Livorno Hospital and is therefore an excellent solution for those who need to be close to this facility.
But at the same time, we are also just a few steps from the city center.
We are not professional hosts, but we guarantee that we have done our best to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible and that Kia Orana will remain in your heart.
